Acceptance

Please read carefully, you do not need to sign any document for these terms and conditions to apply.

Payment of your deposit is taken as accepting these terms.

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date given.

Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit will secure your portrait slot, this must be paid within 14 days of receipt of invoice; if this is not paid within 14 days your slot will go to the next person in line.

The remaining 50% of the total invoice must be paid PRIOR to the start of your portrait.

If for some unforeseen reason the artist has to cancel your portrait your deposit will be refunded in full.

If you yourself cancel the portrait once the artist has already made a start, you forfeit your deposit/balance refund.

Timescale
The artist is on average booked out 6-12 months in advance. If you require your portrait for a certain date please state this when you are booking. Otherwise the artist cannot guarantee it will be completed in time. Once your portrait is complete, signed and fully dry it will be sent to you - Please note this is not always immediately after completion due to different drying times and postage days.

Reproduction & Copyright
All copyright, media use and reproduction rights are retained by the artist.

The artist reserves the right to share the portrait on social media and on any website.
If the client wishes to reproduce the artwork in any way, this must be arranged through the artist.

Photos
Good quality photos are needed for your portrait, they must be provided at least a month prior to your estimated start date. The better the quality the photo the better quality the portrait.

Sharp, clear photos taken in good light are essential.
The artist retains the right to refuse the portrait if the photos provided are not of suitable quality, in which case your deposit will be refunded in full.
If providing a photo taken professional by a photographer, the client must have the correct permission to use the photos provided. Either by being the author of the photos or having written consent from the photographer.

Import Tax & Customs Fees.
The artist is not responsible for any import tax or custom duties you are required to pay by your country.

This is something I strongly advise you check prior to booking.

Artwork Progress

Once work commences the artist will send progress photos.  At this stage minor alterations can be made.

The artist reserves the right to share progress photos on social media unless it has been stated that the portrait is a surprise for someone.
Once complete the artist will send a watermarked final proof,

at this stage only very minor alterations can be made.
